Newark, Calif., November 9, 2010 – The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) today announced that Granite River Labs (GRL) has been approved to offer compliance testing for the DisplayPort standard.
DisplayPort is an open industry digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The technology provides high performance digital display connectivity, multi-monitor streaming, Direct Drive capability and full HD 3D support for the home or office through a single connector. DisplayPort is the technology that enables consumers to “future-proof” their system, as well as ensure backward compatibility with legacy devices and technologies.
GRL is the first and only test center in Silicon Valley approved to test DisplayPort products to ensure that they meet the DisplayPort standard. Only compliant products are able to display the DisplayPort Certified Logo.
“We are excited to support the DisplayPort ecosystem as an authorized test center,” said Quintin Anderson, Chief Operating Officer of Granite River Labs. “As the only authorized test center in Silicon Valley, we offer a complete suite of DisplayPort product testing, with ultra-responsive service and deep technical support. GRL has made significant technical contributions to the DisplayPort compliance testing program and we will continue to support strong DisplayPort adoption worldwide.”
“The compliance program is critical to the successful launch of DisplayPort products and it assures customers that the products meet the performance, simplicity and compatibility promised by the DisplayPort brand,” said Bill Lempesis, Executive Director of VESA. “GRL is recognized for its technical leadership in support of the DisplayPort standard and we are pleased to announce their approval as an authorized test center.”
